Job description

The Financial Data Analyst will work under the direct guidance and supervision of the Finance Manager and the main role is to support the finance reporting by compiling, organizing, analyzing and reporting data related to Company’s financial matters.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, consolidate, process, reconcile and analyze financial data;
  • Create financial reports, models, charts to support decision making;
  • Assist the Finance Manager with the preparation of financial reporting (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow etc.) and management presentations, including ad-hoc reports and analyses;
  • Support the definition of budgets and the routine review process of the budget status with the various budget owners within the organization;
  • Gather the data required to report against various key performance indicators;
  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting;
  • Assist the accounting team in the preparation and analysis of reports like joint venture billing, production, payroll, taxes, treasury etc.;
  • Collaborate to the preparation of the yearly inventory and provide support as required to periodical audits;
  • Collaborate to the preparation of annual, as well as interim, RO GAAP & IFRS financial statements;
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process;
  • Take part in the development, implementation, application and continuous improvement of the internal policies and procedures related to the financial and accounting activities.

Experience & Qualifications

  • University Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics, or related field and/or proven experience in Accounting or Financial Reporting;
  • Strong accounting background, IFRS and ROGAAP knowledge;
  • Strong MS Office package knowledge (Excel, Power Point);
  • Knowledge in other BI tools is preferred;
  • Typically, 3+ years of experience as a financial data analyst;
  • Fluency in English (speaking, reading, writing);
  • Strong business and financial acumen with demonstrated analytical ability;
  • Able to handle a large quantity of data and prepare reports summarizing key information.
