Job description


The Operations Engineer will support the Operations Manager in day-to-day endeavours to delivering the smooth running of the venue and ensuring excellence in Operations. Monitor with the Operations Manager to take the required steps after brainstorming and research in order to optimize the operations in the company.


Key responsibilities

  • Identifies operational problems by observing and studying the functioning and performance of systems;
  • Provides operational management information by collecting, analysing, and summarizing operating and engineering trends;
  • Identifies priorities by assessing operational objectives like cost savings, energy conservation, and environmental quality;
  • Investigates complaints and suggestions by interviewing process supervisors and operators;
  • Develops operational solutions by defining, studying, estimating, and testing alternative approaches;
  • Anticipates operational problems by studying operating targets, modes of operation, and unit limitations;
  • Develop corrective actions to solve the operations issues;
  • Ensure operations related activities are performed in compliance with company standards and regulations;
  • Initiate continuous process improvements to improve operational effectiveness;
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations;
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading publications, and participating in professional organizations;
  • Identify and implement cost optimization and reduction initiatives;
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of operational standards and procedures;
  • Do the required research to learn all the different operations strategies applied worldwide;
  • Check all the tasks, assigned to the teams during the last day/week, have been finished with the highest quality;
  • Issue a weekly, and monthly report for the operations manager to see all the updates realized on ground;
  • Support in solving all the different problems that could face the operations, to ensure the operational strategy;
  • Follow up with the running project daily in order to make sure that they follow the right operation process;
  • Immediately inform employer regarding any work-related incident/accident happened during work process.


Technical knowledge

  • Graduate engineer with at least 5 years’ experience in O&G activities including a minimum of 2 years in similar position, with proper level of technical understanding of O&G operations activities;
  • Proven skills for co-ordination and interface management, communication, work organisation;
  • Self-starter and able to take control and work independently;
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written).


  • Ability to think strategically and develop practical plans, to plan and prioritise projects/ workload, to deal with multiple tasks/projects and to coordinate these effectively in order to meet deadlines;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relations at all levels;
  • Read and understand technical manuals and protocols;
  • Listen actively and effectively, identify and solve problems and facilitate problem solving;
  • Operate office equipment including computers and supporting work processing;
  • Perform routine record keeping and report writing duties;
  • Work independently and collaboratively;
  • Plan and organize work to meet changing priorities and deadlines;
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
