Civil Engineer

Key responsibilities

• Ensure support to Civil Work Project Manager for take over the documents from the Constructor/Contractor and designer and completion the construction technical book with all the documents provided by the legal regulations, for the decommissioning of site-building works and handing over the land to the landowners, for preparation activities related to the site works reception and for Hand over to the investor the reception documents and the technical book of the construction after the final reception;
• Observe the executor’s compliance with the provisions and/or measures ordered by the designer/authorized bodies and verifies and report the observance of the legal provisions in case of changing the technical solutions during the execution of the works;
• Operationally informs the Civil Work Project Manager of the quality deficiencies found, with a view to ordering measures and, where appropriate, proposes to stop work;
• Technical Support for verification of the works that have reached the key phases (determinant phases)
• In handling documented information ref to checks/ensure support to Civil Work Project Manager inspections/verifications provided in the technical regulations;
• Verifies the existence of the building permit, as well as the fulfilment of the legal conditions regarding the compliance with the validity term;
• Study the project, the specifications, the technologies and the procedures envisaged for the construction;
• Verify and record the existence of technical expertise in case of construction works, compliance with the regulations regarding the verification of projects by certified project examiners and their acquisition by the certified technical expert, where appropriate and the existence of design phase programs in the project;
• Ensure technical support on take over the site and the site landmarks/bench markers and hand them over to the Constructor/Contractor, free from any obligations/tasks;
• Verify and record the existence of the “Quality Plan” and the procedures/technical instructions for the site works;
• Prohibits the use of construction products without certificates of conformity, declarations of conformity or technical approval; inform GTP and Onshore Pipeline Supervisor when observe such situations and the use of new techniques and new equipment, which are not technically approved, or with technical approvals to which such approval has expired;
• Verifies compliance with the implementation technologies, their correct application in order to ensure the quality level provided in the technical documentation and technical regulations and compliance with the “Quality Plan”, procedures and technical instructions for the project works;
• Prohibits the execution of works by unqualified personnel;
• Issue daily reports ref to site works activities and verifications performed and any reports in civil work as per request;
• Attendance to meetings regarding construction projects.
